Poker rooms in Taipei. In Taiwan, cash games played for money are illegal and only tournaments — contests of skill — are legal. So every room runs "time-limited cash": you buy one session with a fixed clock, and whatever stack you have at the end is settled by ICM. You compare buy-in, fee and session length rather than stakes and rake.

How the time-limited format works: for example a NT$11,000 buy-in with a NT$1,000 fee gives you 100,000 chips, blinds of 200/400 for 60 minutes then 300/600, and at the 120-minute mark your stack is converted to cash by ICM. It is not a normal cash game where you can pick up your stack and leave at any point — the stack resets every session.
On legality: the time-limited (tournament) format is legal, but a plain cash game is not. In 2025 there were raids on venues running what was effectively cash exchange under a time-limited label. Choose rooms that are operating openly and follow the rules on the ground.
